Paul SIGNAC is a French landscape painter close to the libertarian movement. When he is sixteen, he decided to become a painter, which was marked from the start by a taste for colour, landscape and freedom. He began painting in 1882 in Montmartre, Paris, and perfected his art on his own under the influence of the Impressionists. Then, he creates the pointillism with the painter Georges SEURAT whom he met at the first Independent Artists' Show.
