The Domaine des Collettes - In the eye of Auguste Renoir

In 1908, Pierre-Auguste Renoir had a neo-Provençal style house-studio built in Cagnes-sur-Mer, in the domain of Collettes. Also known as Renoir Museum, it has a collection of fourteen original paintings and forty sculptures in a setting that reflects the last years of the painter's life and work. The creative and familiar universe of Renoir, one of the most striking French artists in the history of art is displayed in a remarkable setting with century-old olive trees and citrus trees, with a panorama that extends to the Cap d'Antibes.
