Venice

Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto, and Francesco Guardi are the best known 18th century painters of the urban Venetian landscape. In minute detail, they painted iconic views of the Venetian Republic, destined for rich foreign visitors. “Maria della Salute from the Grand Canal in Venice” by Canaletto and “Venice: Piazza San Marco” by Guardi followed this trend. Later Venice also inspired Paul Signac’s “The Green Veil, Venice”. Go on a voyage of discovery... Enjoy your visit!
