Wassily Kandinsky

Born in 1866 in Moscow, Wassily Kandinsky is considered as one of the most important 20th century artists. He was notably the founder of abstract art. Having left Russia for Germany where he started teaching at the Bauhaus in 1922, he then settled in France in 1933 and left behind him a particularly abundant work.
