With his considerable production of more than 6,000 works, Auguste Renoir took part in the emergence of the impressionist movement even if he were to distance himself from it later to assert a more personal style. This visit begins with his most famous masterpiece, the “Ball at the Moulin de la Galette”. You will also rediscover the “Dance in the City” and the “Piano Lesson” exposed at the Joslyn art museum as well as “Claude Renoir in Clown Costume”, a portrait of his son who was later to become one of France’s greatest film directors exposed at the Orangerie Museum in France Enjoy your visit!
