Daniel Buren, Travaux in situ, Istres

Daniel Buren responded to the invitation of the City of Istres to intervene on his territory by proposing several works in situ or located, ephemeral, temporary or permanent. This film recreates the process of construction of the works through the testimonies of the different actors of the projects and shows how the visitors practice them for an evening as on a daily basis. Bernard Blistène, director of the National Museum of Modern Art, gives us in an interview with Gilles Coudert his analysis and keys to understanding the work of the artist and places it in the history of art.
