Gregor Hildebrandt has chosen to set up his workshop in the Wedding district of Berlin. The artist creates paintings and installations from pre-recorded magnetic sound tapes. It is a mise en abîme in works where the music becomes inaudible. The canvas preciously keeps in it the sounds and the notes which exist only in the head of the spectator and that of the artist.
