Monet
Claude Monet is probably the best-known painter of the impressionist movement. Indeed, the term “impressionism” was derived from his painting “Impression Rising Sun” (1872). This exhibition retraces the great stages in Monet’s prolific career while dwelling on paintings of this master that cannot be ignored: the “Saint Lazare Station”, the “Poppies near Argenteuil”, the “Haystacks” and the “Rouen Cathedral” without forgetting his “Water-lilies”.
