Paolo Roversi

Born in Ravenna in Italy, Paolo Roversi develops a passion for photography from a very early age. In 1971, he meets Peter Knapp, then the art director of Elle magazine. He works for Elle, Dépêche Mode, Marie Claire... In 1980 his campaign for Dior cosmetics brings him into the limelight. He starts working for many fashion designers from Comme des Garçons to Yohji Yamamoto or Azzedine Alaïa. The elegance and simplicity of his pictures set him apart in the world of fashion photography.
