Olafur Eliasson

Born in 1967, Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson is internationally renowned for his multisensorial interventions combining scientific phenomena and environmental concerns. Playing with light and its colorful variations, geometric shapes and reflective surfaces, his monumental installations engage the viewer in unprecedented sensory and perceptual experiences. Between natural phenomena and pure artifices, from the electric sun of the Tate Modern in London (2003) to the rainbow in dyed glasses of Aros Aarhus Kunstmuseum in Denmark (2006-2011), his works disturb our references in same time that they solicit our sensory memory.
