The Van Eetvelde Hotel, a three-story private house, built between 1895 and 1897, in Brussels, Avenue Palmerston. The man who had it built: Edmond Van Eetvelde, a senior civil servant whose career is on the rise. To build his house, Van Eetvelde chose Victor Horta, a young avant-garde architect, one of the founders of the Art Nouveau movement.
