Jérôme Zonder

Jérôme Zonder
A graduate of the Baux-Arts School in Paris (2001), Jérôme Zonder has been developing the past years a body of works based on a great mastery of drawing. Mostly in lead mine and marker, his drawings, often large-format, cause admiration but also fear. Jérôme Zonder is inspired by Albrecht Dürer, Robert Crumb, Rembrandt, Charles Burns, Otto Dix and Walt Disney in his often cruel compositions: "The narrative takes us into the drawing and only the body keeps us afloat. Drawing, for me, means being distant and close at the same time, figuration and abstraction, attraction and revultion.
