Stephen Mangan and Joan Bakewell are back with a brand new series of Landscape Artist of the Year, travelling the country on the hunt for nation\u2019s best landscape artist.<\/p>\n

In this second heat 8 artist\u2019s take on the beautiful harbour view of Viking Bay in Kent in a bid to impress judge\u2019s Tai Shan Schierenberg, Kate Bryan and Kathleen Soriano. The winning artist will go through to the semi-final and get one step closer to claiming the prize, a \u00a310,000 commission to create a painting for The Imperial War Museum to commemorate the centenary of The First World War Armistice.<\/p>\n

But they’re not the only ones vying for the judges\u2019 attention as 50 more artists are competing in each heat to try their luck as a Wildcards. If they succeed, they too stand a chance of reaching semi-final.<\/p>\n
