Fiona Bruce presents a special Antiques Roadshow from Normandy and the D-Day Museum in Portsmouth to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Through powerful eyewitness accounts and historical artefacts, the episode retraces the largest seaborne invasion in history: Operation Overlord.
\nVeterans and witnesses like Ken Cooke, who landed on Gold Beach, and Marie Scott, a radio operator in Portsmouth, share moving memories. In Caen, Fiona revisits the heroic actions of CSM Stanley Hollis\u2014the only soldier awarded the Victoria Cross on D-Day\u2014and meets his granddaughter.<\/p>\n

Rare items include a child\u2019s toy made from landing craft debris, a coat with 89 regiment badges, and a decoy \u2018Rupert\u2019 paratrooper. Experts explore a restored Landing Craft Tank and the Overlord Embroidery, and meet descendants of General Montgomery and Piper Bill Millin.<\/p>\n
