He studied at the French Academy in Rome but chose to be free in his work, preferring to carry out private commissions, some of which were licentious, such as \u201cThe Shirt Withdrawn\u201d exposed at the Louvre. The \u201cFanciful Figure\u201d exposed at the Louvre-Lens demonstrates an original and very modern style.
