Anton KOLIG, born in 1886 in Austria, is one of the greatest male nude painters. Tortured by his bisexuality, considered scandalous at the time, Kolig celebrated the beauty and sensuality of the male body. The subject was not very popular at the time. Having no known romantic relationship for a model, he paid his models in his early days. Later, he used some of his family members, and young men from the area, including his students.
