From 9 to 12 April 2026, Art Paris will be held at the Grand Palais. A must-see event for lovers of modern and contemporary art, the fair brings together 165 exhibitors from all walks of life. A rich programme complements the fair with the Solo Show, Promesses and French Design Art Edition sections, three major awards and a series of exhibitions and conferences.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\"Art<\/figure>\n\n

Under the nave and balconies of the Grand Palais, art blossoms in spring… For Art Paris<\/a><\/strong>, this iconic monument is transformed into a venue for modern and contemporary art. The galleries come from some twenty countries. 60% are French<\/strong> and 40% are foreign<\/strong>. The 2026 selection sees the arrival of French galleries such as Bendana-Pinel<\/a>, In Situ – Fabienne Leclerc<\/a>, Iragui Gallery<\/a>, Galerie Papillon<\/a>, Pietro Sparta, and foreign galleries such as Esther Schipper (Berlin, New York, Seoul, Paris), Lumen Travo<\/a> (Amsterdam), RocioSantaCruz<\/a> (Barcelona) and Cassandra Bird<\/a> (Sydney, Paris).<\/p>\n\n

Two themes in the spotlight<\/h2>\n\n

For this 28th edition, two themes are being highlighted thanks to guest curators. On the French scene, Lo\u00efc Le Gall<\/strong> presents his exhibition entitled Babel \u2013 Art and Language in France<\/strong>, featuring a selection of 21 artists from participating galleries whose work explores the richness of words and signs in contemporary French art. According to Lo\u00efc Le Gall, director of Passerelle Centre d’art contemporain in Brest, \u2018Through creations that oscillate between figuration and abstraction, this journey is an invitation to rethink our relationship with words, symbols and the way in which, collectively and individually, we construct and decipher the reality that surrounds us.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n

On the international scene, Alexia Fabre<\/strong> (deputy director of the Centre Pompidou Francilien in Massy) approaches contemporary creation through the prism of repair, a word whose meanings extend<\/strong> and overlap depending on the artist, culture and time period, through a selection of some twenty artists chosen from among the exhibiting galleries. cultures and timeframes. By weaving links between the past, present and future, repair evokes care, attention and the time spent preserving and maintaining an object, an idea, a person or a story.<\/p>\n\n

\"Art<\/figure>\n\n

Much more than a fair <\/h2>\n\n

Much more than just an art fair, Art Paris also showcases emerging galleries and artists to discover with Promesse<\/a><\/strong>. Located on the south balconies of the Grand Palais nave, this section, curated by Marc Donnadieu, welcomes 27 galleries less than 10 years old, offering a glimpse into current international creative trends.<\/p>\n\n

Other events are also on the programme. These include a total of 24 monographic exhibitions in the general section and the promising section. An area dedicated to contemporary design and decorative arts, French Design Art \u00c9dition<\/a><\/strong> , is nestled on the north balconies of the Grand Palais. Led by Jean-Paul Bath and Sandy Saad, exhibition curators and directors of the association Le FRENCH DESIGN, this section welcomes eighteen exhibitors presenting limited edition contemporary design pieces. The fair also features an exhibition by the Fonds d\u2019art contemporain \u2013 Paris Collections<\/a><\/strong>.. In line with the theme of La r\u00e9paration (Repair) developed by Alexia Fabre, the Fonds d’art contemporain team will explore this issue through the prism of the colonial legacy of the 20th century.<\/p>\n\n

Because artists also deserve recognition, three prizes will be awarded during the event. For its third edition, the BNP Paribas Private Banking<\/strong> Prize. A Look at the French Scene, worth \u20ac40,000, will be awarded to one of the living artists featured in the section dedicated to the French scene, Babel – Art and Language in France, conceived by Lo\u00efc Le Gall. The Her Art<\/strong> prize, dedicated to female artists and launched in 2025 in collaboration with Marie Claire and Boucheon, will reward a unique career and work that breaks new ground. As for the French Design 100<\/strong> prize, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, it will reward the 100 interior design and design projects that promote French creativity internationally.<\/p>\n\n
