A total of eight exhibitions were held. The first was hosted by the photographer Nadar on Boulevard des <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SpellingErrorV2Themed SCXW141511021 BCX0\">Capucines<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW141511021 BCX0\"> in Paris. They brought together artists such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beauxarts.com\/grand-format\/limpressionnisme-en-3-minutes\/\">Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley, Gustave Caillebotte, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Bazille, Paul C\u00e9zanne, and Berthe Morisot<\/a>. Artists could now move outdoors and practice open-air painting. Daubigny was so interested in landscapes and the reflection of water that he set up a studio on a boat. Edouard Manet was part of the generation under Eug\u00e8ne Delacroix&#8217;s wing, whose paintings he reproduced to educate himself. The cathedral was no longer a subject for the painter. He <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW11457892 BCX0\">sought<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW11457892 BCX0\"> to capture the changing weather patterns and adapted the framing to his studies. This raised the question of the subject&#8217;s place in the work.
