France is well-known for its thousand-year-old history, breathtaking landscapes and majestic monuments. There is one place that undoubtedly combines all three: the Ch\u00e2teau de Chambord. Located in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France, the castle is renowned for its Renaissance architecture commissioned by Fran\u00e7ois I and its rich history. A commission from the King of France<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Ch\u00e2teau de Chambord was built in 1519 at the request of the King of France, Fran\u00e7ois I. Rich from his conquests and an increasingly powerful kingdom, the castle was to symbolize the stability and grandeur of France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, in 500 years, the Ch\u00e2teau de Chambord has undergone many transformations and has belonged to several owners. First, it was a royal residence, then a private estate under the First Empire, a hospital during the 1870 war before becoming an official national property after the First World War. Nowadays, the castle welcomes the public who can visit it and stroll in its magnificent gardens. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A French sophistication<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The gardens of the Ch\u00e2teau de Chambord are not the only marks of the French refinement. Indeed, many artists have been inspired by the monument in literature or in several films such as the famous visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s not forget also the marvelous double revolution staircase that allowed people who did not want to cross each other. In helical form, this architectural feat is due to the Italian genius: Leonardo da Vinci<\/a>. Indeed, Fran\u00e7ois 1er had a real admiration for the artist and made him come to France by installing him in the manor of Cloux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
