But did you know that there were also women who followed and influenced<a href=\"https:\/\/www.museumtv.art\/en\/artnews\/articles\/what-is-impressionism\/\"> this major art movement<\/a>? Indeed, her painting R\u00e9colte uses the codes of a painting by touch, where we see the marks of the brush. Notice the impressive work on colour and light! Her works are inspired by the freedom of Impressionism at the end of the century, as the artist paints vivid subjects in vibrant colours! Indeed, she was the most important woman of fine arts in 19th century Serbia. Her works are characterised by an astonishing modernity, inspired by the techniques of her French counterparts. Note the beauty of her painting Old Belgrade! Indeed, like many of her counterparts, she was criticised at the beginning of her career as a painter. It is interesting to rediscover her work in the image of J<em>ulie Manet and her doggy La\u00ebrte<\/em>. This painting synthesises all the codes of impressionism. The exhibition included a wonderful painting of Lydia in a dressing room wearing a pearl necklace. This was the beginning of a great love affair with the Impressionists.
