A pioneer of the hyper-realist movement that developed in the United States and Europe from 1969, Jean Olivier Hucleux has produced a large series of portraits of anonymous people, writers and life-size artists. From 2005 to 2009, Virgile Novarina frequently visited him, camera in hand, in his house filled with works and unusual objects. Hucleux spontaneously reveals to him his passion for painting, his meeting with Vlaminck, the choice of his artist's name, his dyslexia, his unusual gift. This film travels in the intimacy of the artist seventy years of creation, from his childhood drawings to his last work in progress.
