Daniel Buren, Echos, Travaux in situ, Centre Pompidou-Metz

In 2011, Daniel Buren was invited by the Center Pompidou-Metz to invest an entire floor of the building designed by architects Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines. It offers two installations: "The borrowed city, multiplied" and "Shackles bursting, interlaced" which question each in their own way this new museum space. Daniel Buren and Hélène Guenin, Deputy Head of the Programming Department give us each of the avenues for reflection to apprehend these works. Laurent Le Bon, director of the Center Pompidou-Metz tells us how the artist has bounced to realize a third proposal in dialogue with the architecture of the Center.
