Of French-German origin, the visual artist Béatrice Turquand d'Auzay makes the Great War the subject of her works. In 1916, his grandfather Wilhelm fought in the German troops while André, his French grandfather, died in the trenches of the Somme. Nearly a century later, thanks to his work and the transmission of his art and his history, the artist gives back body and soul to the disappeared soldier and, with him, to this multitude of lives taken in the rets of the History.
