The ancient history of Rome created a lot of cultural and historical monuments. Among these infrastructures, many museums display different collections of paintings. One of them is the Borghese Gallery with the Borghese collection, including Renaissance paintings from Goya or Rubens. Masterpieces from the Renaissance or the baroque period created by Da Vinci or Giotto are exposed in the Pinacothèque Vaticane. Four other museums and galleries are in Rome, houses paintings and frescoes from famous Italian painters such as Michelangelo, Raphael or Titian.
