Pissarro

The great masters of painting
Known as one of the "fathers of Impressionism", Pissarro was first a disciple of Corot. He then settled in Pontoise, where he painted rural French life, particularly landscapes and scenes of peasants working in the fields, but it is also famous for his scenes of Montmartre. In Paris, he was among other students Paul Cezanne, Paul Gauguin, and Henri-Jean Peské Martin Lamotte. Pissarro was also a theorist of anarchy, which frequents the painters of the New Athens belonging to the anarchist movement.
